Real Varsity match to be broadcast live online30 April 2008 You can watch the Real Varsity match online tonight - live coverage starts from 4.40 pm with the Women's match starting at 5.15pm and the Men's match from 7.30pm. The Student's Union are currently broadcasting a test signal you can use now to check that you can view the matches so you wont miss a second of the action. Watch the matches online.

Loughborough Alumni win place in business final16 April 2008 Four Loughborough University Alumni have won a place in the final of the prestiguos HSBC Unipreneurs Awards, with the winner to be announced on Wednesday 23 April. Oliver Sidwell, Ben Smith, Chris Wickson and Alastair Lindsay have created a website where students can rate and review their work experience placements. Loughborough’s Tancock on top of the world03 April 2008 Loughborough student Liam Tancock became Britain’s first World Record holder since 2002 with a powerful performance in the 50m Backstroke at the British Swimming Championships in Sheffield. Tancock’s effort was the highlight of a series of top displays from Loughborough University’s swimmers as Ross Davenport and Kate Haywood became the latest athletes to secure qualification times for the Beijing Olympics.

British Record for Loughborough’s McClatchey as University swimmers post Olympic qualification times01 April 2008 Loughborough University’s Caitlin McClatchey set a new British Record on her way to gaining an Olympic qualification time as four Loughborough swimmers made the grade for Beijing at the British Championships in Sheffield. McClatchey claimed gold in the 100m Freestyle after lowering the national standard set by City Of Liverpool’s Fran Halsall to 54.31 seconds in last night’s heats. Loughborough University team mate Julia Beckett won bronze in the same event in 55.86 seconds to swim within the qualification standard for the 4x100m Freestyle.
