Communications Intern Opportunity

The Santander Group are looking to recruit a communications intern to undertake a 6 month paid contract, commencing early in 2010.  You will work along the Marketing and Communications Director to support all internal and external communications activities: all literature and publications (produced both internally and externally), as well as the content of and updates to the Division’s websites (i.e. internet, intranet and extranets).  Typically the role will involve copywriting and editing, drafting and proofreading documents. You will also play a key part in raising the company profile.

Double Success for Loughborough Swimmers at Sports Personality Awards

Loughborough University Swimming Club stars and world record holders, Jo Jackson and Liam Tancock, have been rewarded for a fantastic year in the pool by receiving regional Sports Personality of the Year Awards.

Jo, who was a multi medalist at this years World Championships in Rome, has been crowned Sports Personality of The Year for North East and Cumbria region at a special awards ceremony held by the BBC Look North programme at the University of Sunderland.

Liam received the Senior Sports Person of the Year Award from Charnwood Borough Council, in recognition of an amazing year that has seen him take gold for the 50m backstroke at this years World Championship, twice breaking the world record in the process.

Our congratulations go to Jo and Liam on their awards.
